Rimfrost orders world’s greenest and most modern krill vessel

Norwegian krill processor Rimfrost has awarded a contract to Westcon for building a new krill fishing vessel worth more than NOK 1 billion. The maritime cluster in Sunnmøre and other Norwegian enterprises stand to secure almost NOK 500 million in orders from the project.

Rimfrost and Møreforskning, both located in Ålesund, Norway, collaborates in an ambitious 13 mill Euro multiparter EU Horizon Europe project aiming to make Europeans diets more sustainable and healthier.
This ultra-modern vessel is built to a Kongsberg design and will be completed at the Westcon yard in Norway. The Hull is made at Tersan Shipyard in Turkey.
